Ned Elmer Johnson, Sexual Abuse of a Minor, Oklahoma 2024

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – Ned Elmer Johnson, 36, of Mounds, Oklahoma, has entered a guilty plea for the heinous crime of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in Indian Country. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma revealed that Johnson is staring down up to 15 years behind bars and a $250,000 fine.

The prosecution detailed that from April 2021 until April 2023, Johnson preyed on a child who was just 12 at the time, committing these despicable acts. The horror unfolded within Okmulgee County, situated within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Reservation in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

This grim chapter came to light through a collaborative effort between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Tribal Police Department. U.S. Magistrate Judge Jason A. Robertson has accepted Johnson’s plea and has ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed.

Johnson remains in the custody of the United States Marshals Service until his sentence is imposed by a U.S. District Court Judge, who will consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicole Paladino is representing the United States in this case.
