Arthur Allen, Drug Trafficking and Weapons Possession, Louisiana 2023

New Orleans native ARTHUR ALLEN was handed a 90-month prison sentence on February 8, 2023, for his involvement in drug trafficking and weapons possession. The sentence, handed down by U.S. District Court Judge Jane Triche Milazzo, also includes three years of supervised release and a $300 mandatory special assessment fee.

Allen was indicted on four counts: one charge for intent to distribute a controlled substance, another for possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, and two more for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Count 3 of the indictment against Allen did not result in charges.

The program focuses on fostering trust in communities, supporting local organizations to prevent violence, and strategically enforcing laws to improve neighborhood safety.

U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans commended the efforts of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Louisiana State Police, and the New Orleans Police Department for their roles in the prosecution of Allen.
