New Orleans, LA – In a harrowing case of online exploitation, COLE DIGGS (a/k/a Kevon Godson), aged 31, has been sentenced for producing files depicting the sexual exploitation of children as young as seven years old. The guilty plea was entered on August 28, 2025, before United States District Judge Barry W. Ashe.
According to court documents, between November 2021 and December 2022, DIGGS engaged in a “sextortion” scheme using a multimedia instant messaging application. He targeted at least six minors, manipulating them into providing sexually explicit depictions through deceitful tactics. DIGGS posed as a minor, sent adult pornography, and coerced the minors with threats of exposure to compel their compliance.
On multiple occasions, DIGGS purchased and traded sexually explicit material involving children, further perpetuating this heinous crime. His actions were part of Project Safe Childhood, a Justice Department initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation online.
DIGGS faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years to a maximum of 30 years in prison. He is also subject to supervised release for up to five years or a lifetime, a fine of up to $250,000, and a special assessment fee of $100. Registration as a sex offender may be required.
U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson commended the FBI’s work in investigating this case. Assistant United States Attorney Jordan Ginsberg is handling the prosecution. Sentencing is scheduled for December 4, 2025.
