Nicholas Alexander Reynolds, Gun and Drug Charges, Pennsylvania 2013
A former Lancaster resident is behind bars after a grand jury indictment on federal gun and drug charges. Nicholas Alexander Reynolds, 22, was named as the sole defendant in a two-count indictment presented in the United States District Court in Erie.
According to the indictment, Reynolds possessed a firearm while being a convicted felon and also possessed with intent to distribute less than fifty kilograms of marijuana on or about December 19, 2013. The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the United States Marshal’s Service and the Titusville Police Department.
The indictment carries a maximum total sentence of 15 years in prison, a fine of $500,000 or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed would be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Assistant United States Attorney Marshall J. Piccinini is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government. An indictment is an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
