Norristown Man Charged with Illegal Reentry

Norristown resident Josue Isaias-Rosales, 24, is facing serious consequences after being charged with illegal reentry, a crime that could land him in prison for up to two years.

According to court documents, Isaias-Rosales, a native and citizen of Guatemala, had been deported from the United States on three separate occasions: March 31, 2008, July 3, 2008, and July 21, 2009. However, on or about August 6, 2014, he was found in the United States, allegedly violating the terms of his deportation.

The indictment alleges that Isaias-Rosales, an alien, knowingly entered or remained in the United States after being deported, a serious offense that could result in significant prison time. If convicted, the defendant could face a maximum possible sentence of two years.

The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations (“ERO”), and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Mary Kay Costello. This is a clear indication that the authorities will not tolerate individuals who attempt to circumvent the law.

An Indictment is an accusation, and Isaias-Rosales is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. The case serves as a reminder that the consequences of breaking the law can be severe, and those who attempt to reenter the country after being deported will be held accountable.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania is committed to upholding the law and protecting the interests of the American people. This case is a testament to their dedication to justice and the rule of law.
