In the quaint town of Lancaster, New Hampshire, a web of deceit has been spun around the automotive market. The largest and oldest dealers in automobiles in the North Country, Vile’s Automobiles, have been accused of peddling faulty vehicles to unsuspecting buyers. The Gazette’s investigation has uncovered a slew of subpar cars, including a 1911 Maxwell Touring Car, which was used for only four months before being sold. This 4-cylinder, 30-horsepower vehicle was touted as being in pristine condition, but sources close to the case reveal that worn parts had been replaced and the car was hastily repainted.
