Obmar Garcia-Galban, Drug Trafficking, Florida 2024

Orlando, Florida – In a shocking turn of events, Obmar Garcia-Galban, a 25-year-old Tennessee man, has pleaded guilty to possessing with intent to distribute over 124 grams of fentanyl and approximately 2 kilograms of a substance containing MDMA and ketamine, also known as ‘Tusi.’

According to court documents, Garcia-Galban had 124.6 grams of fentanyl, 1.99 kilograms of Tusi, and a firearm with the serial number removed in his vehicle on December 19, 2024. During an interview with law enforcement, Garcia-Galban stated that he planned to sell the fentanyl, Tusi, and firearm to an individual in Florida.

Garcia-Galban faces a minimum penalty of 10 years, up to life, in federal prison. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Diane Hu.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.

In a statement, US Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced the plea, detailing the severity of the charges against Garcia-Galban. The full extent of Garcia-Galban’s involvement in the drug trade remains unclear, but one thing is certain: his actions will have serious consequences.
