ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The grim halls of justice were once again filled with a disturbing case as Luke Vuittonet, a 19-year-old from Pittsford, NY, pleaded guilty to the production of child pornography before U.S. District Judge Charles J. Siragusa.
The shocking charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in federal prison, along with a hefty fine of $250,000.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Melissa M. Marangola, Vuittonet produced digital photographs depicting a 13-year-old victim engaged in illegal sexual acts between August 6 and August 12, 2019. The sickening images were created using his cellular telephone.
This harrowing case was the culmination of a joint investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Stephen Belongia and Sheriff Todd Baxter, respectively.
Despite Vuittonet’s youthful appearance, his actions have had devastating consequences for the innocent victim involved. Sentencing is set for December 1, 2020, at 9:30 a.m., where he will face the full brunt of the law.
