Rapid City Man Sentenced for Sex Offender Registration

A 33-year-old Rapid City man has been sentenced to 20 months in federal prison for his third conviction of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

Bradley Makes Room For Them was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange on September 4, 2018. He was also ordered to serve five years of supervised release and pay a special assessment of $100 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.

Makes Room For Them was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Abuse in September 2003. As a result of this conviction, he is required to register under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.

According to court documents, Makes Room For Them was convicted of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender in 2014 and again in 2016. In March 2018, he was released from prison and began a period of supervised release.

Initially, Makes Room For Them properly updated his registration, but he subsequently failed to reside at the address he listed. An arrest warrant was issued, and he was arrested in Martin, South Dakota, on April 28, 2018.

U.S. Attorney Ron Parsons announced the sentencing, which was the result of an investigation by the U.S. Marshals Service. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kirk Albertson prosecuted the case.

Makes Room For Them was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service after his sentencing.
