Rian Reid Miller Charged with Firearms Offense, Wewoka OK, 2023
A 22-year-old Seminole County man is facing federal charges after pleading guilty to a firearm offense on the Seminole Nation Reservation.
Rian Reid Miller of Wewoka, Oklahoma, entered a guilty plea to one count of using, carrying, brandishing, and discharging a firearm during a federal crime of violence.
The crime allegedly occurred on April 29, 2023, when Miller knowingly used, carried, brandished, and discharged a firearm during an assault on the victim in Seminole County.
The charges against Miller arose from an investigation by the Seminole Nation Lighthorse Police, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The Honorable D. Edward Snow, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.
Miller was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending sentencing. Assistant United States Attorney Ryan Bondura represented the United States in the case.
A sentencing date has not been set. Miller’s guilty plea and the investigation into the case are ongoing.
