A Schuylkill County man has been sentenced for producing child pornography, according to court documents.
Robert Lee Raeder, age 45, of Tamaqua, Schuylkill County, was sentenced to 121 months of imprisonment and three years supervised release for producing child pornography, a federal crime.
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced the sentencing on , following a guilty plea entered by Raeder on the same day.
The charges against Raeder stem from an investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Computer Crimes Unit and United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), which revealed images and videos of child pornography on Raeder’s computer.
The victims were identified through a forensic examination of the computer, and Raeder is currently in custody, awaiting the outcome of pending state charges.
The case against Raeder was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the US government.
Assistant United States Attorney Michelle Olshefski prosecuted the case.
