In a shocking turn of events, Roger Alan Vaughn, 46, of Lincoln, Nebraska, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in a massive drug operation.
On November 1, 2020, a search warrant was executed at Vaughn’s Lincoln residence, where investigators found a staggering 150 grams of methamphetamine, just under one ounce of cocaine, and four pounds of marijuana. The discovery also revealed a total of nine firearms, including four shotguns, two rifles, and three pistols.
According to the FBI, Vaughn was convicted of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in 2004, a serious drug felony offense. This conviction, coupled with the recent drug charges, led to the harsh sentence handed down by United States District Judge John M. Gerrard.
Vaughn will serve 10 years on supervised release following his release from prison, with a concurrent three-year sentence for the gun charge. It is worth noting that there is no parole in the federal system.
The case was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force, who worked tirelessly to bring Vaughn to justice.
