A Lincoln man has been sentenced to 149 months in prison for his role in a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking operation. Brandon L. Parmentier, 32, was found guilty of possessing with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine and 50 grams or more of methamphetamine mixture.
The case against Parmentier began on September 11, 2020, when a probation officer searched his residence in Lincoln. During the search, the officer discovered a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, weapons, and drug paraphernalia. The items were seized by law enforcement, and a lab later determined that there was 111.52 grams of methamphetamine, of which at least 100 grams was actual methamphetamine.
Parmentier’s sentence was handed down by United States District Judge John M. Gerrard, who also imposed a 5-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
The case against Parmentier was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force, which worked tirelessly to bring the defendant to justice.
Parmentier’s sentence is a stark reminder of the severe consequences of engaging in large-scale drug trafficking operations. The Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force will continue to work to disrupt and dismantle these operations, and to bring those responsible to justice.
