ROSEBUD, SOUTH DAKOTA – A 26-year-old man is facing serious charges after a large quantity of methamphetamine was found in his home.
Myron Dubray, 26, of Rosebud, South Dakota, appeared before U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange on April 9, 2013, and pled guilty to Count I of the Indictment that charged him with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance.
The investigation revealed that over 50 grams of methamphetamine, a Scheduled II controlled substance, was found on Dubray during a search of a Todd County residence on March 21, 2012.
The Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force conducted the investigation, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Kathryn N. Rich is prosecuting the case.
Dubray faces a mandatory minimum of 5 years of imprisonment, a $5,000,000 fine, or both; at least 4 years of supervised release and an additional 3 years of supervised release upon revocation. Restitution and a $100 special assessment may also be ordered.
Dubray was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service pending sentencing, which has been set for June 25, 2013.
The case is a stark reminder of the ongoing battle against methamphetamine trafficking in the region. The Grimy Times will continue to follow this story and provide updates as more information becomes available.
