MISSOULA, Mont. – A Missoula woman has been sentenced to prison for her role in trafficking methamphetamine in the community.
Sadie Marie Todd, 45, was sentenced to four years in prison, to be followed by four years of supervised release, according to U.S. Attorney Leif M. Johnson.
Todd pleaded guilty in December 2021 to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and heroin.
On May 11, 2021, Missoula Police Department officers searched Todd’s residence pursuant to a state warrant. Officers recovered methamphetamine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia. During an interview, Todd admitted to having the drugs and paraphernalia in her residence.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Tara J. Elliott prosecuted the case, which was investigated by the Missoula High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force. The case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a U.S. initiative to reduce violent crime.
As part of the sentence, U.S. District Judge Dana L. Christensen ordered the forfeiture of $6,895 in U.S. currency.
The government alleged that Todd was involved in trafficking methamphetamine and heroin in the Missoula community, and her sentencing is a result of her plea agreement.
Through Project Safe Neighborhoods, federal, tribal, state, and local law enforcement partners in Montana focus on violent crime driven by methamphetamine trafficking, armed robbers, firearms offenses, and violent offenders with outstanding warrants.
