Juelz Sincere Armstead, Production and Attempted Production of Child Pornography, Texas 2024

GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: In a chilling example of online predators’ reach, Juelz Sincere Armstead, 21, from San Angelo, Texas, has been sentenced to 245 years in federal prison for sextorting minors and an adult across the United States. This severe punishment comes after a jury found him guilty on multiple counts of production and attempted production of child pornography, as well as cyber stalking.

Armstead was convicted following a four-day trial in Lubbock, Texas, where he faced charges including five counts of production of child pornography, two counts of attempted production of child pornography, and seven counts of cyber stalking. United States District Judge James Wesley Hendrix sentenced him to 2,940 months—a term totaling 245 years—in federal prison.

Acting U.S. Attorney Nancy E. Larson emphasized the gravity of Armstead’s crimes, stating that his sentence is a reflection of the “horrendous acts” against each victim and serves as a warning to other predators. Special Agent in Charge Travis Pickard of HSI Dallas praised the commitment of law enforcement, noting that the sentence ensures Armstead will never again have the opportunity to victimize a child.

The evidence at trial revealed a three-year campaign by Armstead, who used social media platforms to meet his victims: nine minors and one adult. He coerced them into sending him sexually explicit material under threat of exposing it to their loved ones. The trial featured graphic testimony from victims, including accounts of fear, despair, and even suicidal thoughts caused by Armstead’s actions.

Despite being arrested in December 2022, Armstead continued his scheme after release and was arrested again in February 2024. Judge Hendrix highlighted the “repeat, incessant terrorizing” of victims when imposing the sentence, emphasizing that public safety was paramount.

The investigation was led by Homeland Security Investigations—Abilene Office with assistance from multiple HSI offices and local law enforcement agencies. This case underscores the relentless pursuit of justice for those exploited by online predators, a mission in which the federal government and its partners are steadfastly committed.
