San Angelo resident Juelz Sincere Armstead, 21, has been sentenced to a staggering 245 years in federal prison for his despicable crimes of sextorting minors and an adult across the United States. The sentence was announced by Acting United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Nancy E. Larson.
In April 2025, a Lubbock jury found Armstead guilty on five counts of production of child pornography, two counts of attempted production of child pornography, and seven counts of cyberstalking after a four-day trial. United States District Judge James Wesley Hendrix imposed the sentence of 2,940 months, or nearly 245 years, on July 15, 2025.
Larson emphasized that the severe sentence was necessary for each victim in the case, adding, “We hope this lengthy incarceration will assist the victims as they continue their healing journey and serve as a warning to predators.”
Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Travis Pickard spoke of Armstead’s impact on his victims, stating, “No amount of time can undo the trauma caused, but a 2,940-month sentence ensures this individual will never again have the opportunity to victimize a child.”
The evidence at trial showed that Armstead met his victims over three years on social media platforms. He coerced them into sending explicit material, threatening to expose them if they didn’t comply with his demands. His relentless pursuit of new victims continued until he was arrested again in February 2024.
Victims from across the country spoke at trial about the abuse and emotional trauma they endured due to Armstead’s actions. One witness described a 14-year-old girl who cried as she created the explicit video demanded by Armstead. Another victim was so terrorized that she was manipulated into filming sexually explicit videos of her 13-year-old sister, out of fear for herself.
In issuing the sentence, Judge Hendrix called Armstead’s conduct “repeat, incessant terrorizing and bullying” without mercy, emphasizing that public safety was his top priority. The investigation was led by Homeland Security Investigations—Abilene Office with assistance from various HSI offices across the country.
