San Antonio Man Jailed for Child Pornography
A San Antonio man has been handed a hefty prison sentence for his role in a child pornography ring.
Jeffrey Owen Tucker, 31, was sentenced to 210 months in federal prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release for receipt of child pornography.
According to court documents, Tucker pleaded guilty to the charge in October 2015, admitting to downloading images and videos involving child pornography from the Internet between January and September 2015.
Following his arrest in September 2015, a search of Tucker’s residence revealed a stash of approximately 1,425 images and 189 videos depicting child pornography on his computer and related media.
Tucker has remained in federal custody since his arrest and is expected to begin serving his sentence immediately.
The investigation into Tucker’s crimes was conducted by the FBI’s San Antonio Child Exploitation Task Force, with Assistant United States Attorney Tracy Thompson prosecuting the case on behalf of the Government.
United States Attorney Richard L. Durbin, Jr. and FBI Special Agent in Charge Christopher Combs have praised the efforts of all involved in bringing Tucker to justice.
Tucker’s sentence is a stark reminder of the serious consequences faced by those who engage in such heinous crimes.
The FBI’s San Antonio Child Exploitation Task Force continues to work tirelessly to protect children from predators like Tucker.
