A cyber tip sent to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in August 2024 set off a chain of events that led to the downfall of Clint Allen Wolf, 34, of Selmer, Tennessee. Wolf was sentenced to 100 months in federal prison for possession of child pornography.

According to court documents, the investigation began after a report was made about the transmission of 22 files containing child sexual abuse material on a social media application. The Knoxville Police Department and the FBI in Jackson took over the case, executing a search warrant at Wolf’s residence in December 2024.

What they found was appalling: more than 600 images of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, including prepubescent minors and minors under the age of 12. Wolf’s guilty plea to the indictment was met with harsh words from U.S. Attorney D. Michael Dunavant, who called the crime ‘despicable’ and said Wolf contributed to the harm of real child victims.

Wolf will spend over 8 years in prison, where he cannot contribute to the future harm of children. The case was investigated by the FBI, NCMEC, and other agencies.
