Timothi L. Cramer, a 45-year-old Columbus man, has been sentenced to nearly 33 years in prison for sexually exploiting an 8-year-old child. The crime occurred approximately two years after Cramer was released from prison for starving, beating, and locking a 5-year-old child in a room for months. In February and March 2024, Cramer uploaded hundreds of child pornography files, including an explicit photo of the 8-year-old victim, which was taken at the Baymont Inn in Columbus.
Cramer’s electronics were found to contain a large collection of child sexual abuse images and videos, including content depicting toddlers and sadistic abuse. He pleaded guilty in February 2025 to sexually exploiting a minor and possessing child pornography. Cramer was previously convicted in 2006 in Lake County, Florida, of Cruelty Toward Child Aggravated Child Abuse Torture and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Detroit and the Columbus Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Emily Czerniejewski. U.S. District Court Judge Algenon L. Marbley imposed the sentence on July 10.
Cramer’s sentence is the result of a collaborative effort by law enforcement agencies to protect children from exploitation and abuse. The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation.
