Brian Keith Hicks, a 27-year-old Texas man, has been indicted for sex trafficking, obstruction, and possession of firearms in Louisiana. Between May 2025 and the present, Hicks allegedly trafficked an adult female from Texas and California to engage in commercial sex acts in Louisiana and elsewhere. The indictment also alleges that Hicks, a previously convicted felon, possessed multiple firearms on February 16, 2026, and April 15, 2026. Additionally, Hicks is accused of obstructing the investigation into the sex trafficking charge between April 22, 2026, and the present.

Hicks faces a minimum of 10 years to life imprisonment for the sex trafficking charge, as well as a term of supervised release and registration as a sex offender. He also faces up to 15 years imprisonment for the firearms possession charges and up to 25 years imprisonment for the obstruction charge. Each count carries a $100 mandatory special assessment fee and a fine of up to $250,000.
