A 24-year-old Hampton man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for producing child sexual abuse material, according to a recent court case.

Skyler James Duvall was sentenced on [no exact date mentioned], after he was found to have used a screen recording application to create videos of a minor being sexually abused by her guardian.

As the live stream was being recorded, Duvall chatted with the guardian to arrange a determined amount of time and payment to the guardian for certain sex acts to be committed against the victim.

Investigators found additional child sexual abuse material on Duvall’s electronic devices, including over 500 images and 700 videos, as well as thousands of files of potential child exploitive videos and images.

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Washington, D.C., and the Hampton Police Department, with Assistant U.S. Devon E.A. Heath prosecuting the case.

Skyler James Duvall was brought before the court as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the U.S. Attorney’s Offices and the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS) to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
