ST. LOUIS – A chilling admission from Yeison Perdomo, 30, as he confessed to meeting a 14-year-old with intent to engage in sexual activity.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, Perdomo pleaded guilty to one count of coercion and enticement of a minor. The unsettling encounter began on a dating website in February 2024, where the victim, who initially claimed to be 20 years old, later revealed she was just 14.
Perdomo exchanged over 8,000 text messages with the teenager, frequently discussing plans for meeting up. His intentions were not hidden, as he even mentioned marriage prospects when she turned 18 as a means to gain legal residency in the United States.
The sinister plot reached its apex on March 8th when Perdomo picked the girl up from school and took her to his home in Berkeley, Missouri. However, the victim’s disappearance led to a frantic search by family and law enforcement.
On March 9th, police found Perdomo and the girl hiding under a blanket in his vehicle’s backseat. Despite Perdomo’s resistance, officers managed to subdue him, revealing evidence of sexual activity between the two.
Perdomo is facing a recommended sentence of 10 years in prison at his September 18 sentencing. He will also be required to register as a sex offender and faces likely deportation after serving his time.
