Pocatello Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Federal Prison for Methamphetamine Trafficking
A 67-year-old Pocatello man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine trafficking operation.
Steven Greenleaf Blodgett was sentenced by Chief United States District Judge David C. Nye on March 17, 2025, after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
According to court records, Blodgett was stopped by officers with the BADGES Task Force in July 2024 as he returned to Bannock County from a trip to Utah. A search of his rental car turned up approximately four pounds of methamphetamine, and a subsequent search of his residence in Pocatello uncovered a loaded firearm and evidence of drug distribution.
Blodgett was indicted by a federal grand jury in August 2024 and entered a guilty plea on November 19, 2024.
Acting U.S. Attorney Justin Whatcott commended the work of the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Idaho State Police, the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office, the Pocatello Police Department, and the Chubbuck Police Department, which participated as part of the BADGES Task Force.
The case was investigated through the Oregon-Idaho High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program, a counterdrug grant program sponsored by the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
