MIAMI – In a disturbing case of child exploitation, 22-year-old Stuart Leibov was sentenced to 235 months imprisonment for his role in the sexual abuse of a minor and possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
On March 28, 2023, U.S. District Judge Rodney Smith handed down the sentence, which will be followed by supervised release for life. Leibov had previously pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and enticement of a minor to engage in illicit sexual activity.
The investigation into Leibov’s actions was led by the FBI Miami, West Palm Beach Resident Agency. Assistant U.S. Attorney M. Catherine Koontz prosecuted the case, working in conjunction with U.S. Attorney Markenzy Lapointe for the Southern District of Florida.
According to court documents, Leibov’s actions had severe consequences for the minor involved. The full extent of the harm inflicted remains unclear, but his conviction serves as a reminder of the devastating impact of child exploitation.
