GRIMY TIMES EXCLUSIVE: Sheena Chandell Meikle, 27, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, has entered a guilty plea to drug conspiracy charges, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The charge stems from an alleged conspiracy that spanned from late 2013 until early 2016. Meikle is accused of possessing with intent to distribute and distributing over 500 grams of methamphetamine, a Schedule II Controlled Substance.
Meikle’s sentence will be determined by the Honorable Kimberly E. West, who accepted her plea in Muskogee. The defendant could face life imprisonment or up to 10 years in prison, along with a fine that could exceed $10 million.
This investigation was a collaborative effort between multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, Tahlequah and Muskogee Police Departments, the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. The Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) coordinated the joint operation.
Assistant United States Attorney Shannon Henson represented the government in this case. Meikle will remain in custody until her sentencing hearing is scheduled.
