St. Louis Man Accused of Murder During Fentanyl Conspiracy

A fatal shooting in November has led to a federal indictment against Terrell Donta McDaniel, a 41-year-old man from St. Louis, Missouri. McDaniel is accused of being involved in the distribution of fentanyl, a highly addictive and deadly opioid.

The indictment, handed down by a federal grand jury on Wednesday, charges McDaniel with one count of conspiracy to distribute and possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl, as well as one count of murder through the use of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.

According to an affidavit filed with a criminal complaint on December 7, McDaniel allegedly shot and killed Andre Nash on November 2 over a drug debt. The body was then dumped in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood in St. Louis.

The fentanyl conspiracy charge carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison, a $1 million fine, or both. The firearm charge is punishable by a sentence of up to life in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both.

Terrell Donta McDaniel, 41, is currently facing serious charges and potential penalties. His case was investigated by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and the FBI.

It’s essential to remember that charges set forth in an indictment are merely accusations and do not constitute proof of guilt. Every defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
