St. Louis Man Sentenced to Over 10 Years for Gun Charges
A convicted felon from St. Louis has been sentenced to more than 10 years in prison on gun charges.
U.S. District Judge Stephen R. Clark handed down the sentence to Terrell Gunn, 43, a convicted felon from St. Louis, on Tuesday.
Gunn pleaded guilty to the charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm in March, after a search of his south St. Louis home by the U.S. Probation Office on Dec. 15, 2021 found six handguns, including two that were stolen, a stolen shotgun, and an AK-47-style rifle.
The U.S. Probation Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Szczucinski prosecuted the case.
Gunn’s guilty plea also included an admission of violating his supervised release from a 2016 conviction on another felon in possession charge. He received an additional two years for this violation.
Gunn was sentenced to a total of eight years and seven months in prison for the 2022 charge, plus the two-year violation of his supervised release.
