Local Man Sentenced for Child Sex Crime

ERIE, Pa. – In a shocking turn of events, a resident of Erie, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court to six years and eight months (80 months) in prison for violating federal laws relating to the sexual exploitation of children.

Terry Chase White, 51, was handed down the sentence by United States District Judge David S. Cercone.

According to information presented to the court, White received computer images and movies depicting prepubescent minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Assistant United States Attorney Christian A. Trabold prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.

United States Attorney Scott W. Brady commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of White. White has been ordered to pay $1,500 in restitution as part of the sentence.
