Logan Christopher Murfin, a 26-year-old from Skiatook, Oklahoma, threatened to shoot, kill, and gun down federal agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in a series of online posts. The threats were made in September 2025, and Murfin was found guilty by a federal jury in April 2026. Murfin’s anger towards ICE agents led him to make the threatening posts, which were discovered by agents with Homeland Security Investigations. The investigation led to Murfin’s arrest, and he was later sentenced to 21 months imprisonment.
Murfin’s threats were posted on the social media platform X, under the username ‘Azulenq’. The posts were flagged by an intelligence report in October 2025, and agents obtained search warrants to identify the user. The data collected from the search warrants was presented to the jury, which identified Murfin as the user behind the threatening posts.
The jury heard a recording of an interview with Murfin, in which he admitted to making the posts and stated he was ‘pissed off’ at ICE agents. Two agents from Homeland Security testified about the seriousness of the threats, explaining that threats to agents have increased by over 1,000%. The agents also explained that some of the threatening posts were made on the official U.S. Homeland Security account on X, which has more than three million followers.
Murfin’s sentence reflects the severity of his crimes. U.S. District Judge Gregory K. Frizzell sentenced Murfin to 21 months imprisonment, followed by two years of supervised release. The sentence serves as a warning to others who would threaten federal agents, and highlights the importance of taking such threats seriously.
