A 30-year-old Tulsa man has been charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute.
Filiberto Almaguer-Estrada, 30, of Tulsa, is accused of possessing a firearm and ammunition knowing he was previously convicted of felonies. He is further charged with knowingly possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
The Drug Enforcement Administration and Tulsa Police Department are the investigative agencies, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Attila Bogdan prosecuting the case.
This is not Almaguer-Estrada’s first run-in with the law. His criminal history includes prior felony convictions.
Almaguer-Estrada is charged in U.S. District Court with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1), and Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1). The case number is 24-CR-149.
Almaguer-Estrada’s indictment is a result of a grand jury investigation. The indictment is not a conviction, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
