VA Doctor Admits to Assault Charges
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – In a shocking turn of events, Dr. Kenneth C. Ramdat, a physician formerly employed at the Louis A. Johnson VA Hospital in Clarksburg, West Virginia, has confessed to committing heinous crimes against two hospital employees.
According to sources, Ramdat, 66, of Silver Springs, Maryland, pleaded guilty to two counts of “Simple Assault” as part of a plea agreement. This admission comes after an investigation by the Veterans Affairs Office of Inspector General, the FBI, the Veterans Affairs Police, and the Clarksburg Police Department.
As revealed in court documents, Ramdat allegedly touched two staff women’s breasts without permission while in isolated rooms of incapacitated patients in two separate incidents in August 2019 and October 2019 at the hospital in Harrison County.
The disturbing incidents have left many in the community reeling, and Ramdat’s actions have sparked outrage among hospital staff and patients alike.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah E. Wagner prosecuted the case on behalf of the government, securing a significant conviction for what can only be described as egregious misconduct.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi presided over the case, handing down a sentence of one year of probation to Ramdat.
The case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of holding public officials accountable for their actions, particularly those in positions of trust and authority.
