Marcos Gonzalez-Reyes, Child Porn Distribution, CA 2024

GRIMY TIMES – Vallejo, CA: Marcos Gonzalez-Reyes, a 43-year-old resident of Vallejo, has been hit with federal charges for distributing and possessing child sexual abuse material, according to U.S. Attorney Eric Grant.

The charges stem from an alleged December 2024 scheme where Gonzalez-Reyes is said to have used eMule, a peer-to-peer software client, to distribute hundreds of explicit images to undercover agents over just three days. Agents swooped in on his Vallejo residence in May 2025, seizing thousands more graphic depictions.

This investigation was spearheaded by the Solano County Sheriff’s Office with support from the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Sam Stefanki is leading the prosecution.

Gonzalez-Reyes faces a stiff penalty if convicted: up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for distribution of child sexual abuse material, and up to 10 years in prison with a similar fine for possession. The court’s final decision on sentencing would take into account various factors and guidelines.

These charges are part of Project Safe Childhood, the DOJ’s initiative combating child sexual exploitation and abuse since 2006. For more information on this effort, visit www.usdoj.gov/psc.
