SYRACUSE, NEW YORK – In a stunning turn of events, Seth Demiceli, 24, from Watertown, New York, has pleaded guilty to possessing with intent to distribute a mind-numbing 4.5 kilograms of methamphetamine.
Demiceli’s crime spree came to an end on January 16, 2025, when he was apprehended returning to Watertown after a drive from the Albany area. The stash, meticulously divided into ten bags, each weighing approximately one pound, was destined for a sale in the local streets.
“This drug dealer was caught with enough meth to turn countless lives into nightmares,” Acting United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III declared. “Our office and law enforcement will keep disrupting this poison trade in Northern District of New York.”
Special Agent in Charge Bryan Miller of the ATF emphasized, “Illegal drugs tear apart communities. This case sends a clear message: those who deal in death face serious consequences.” Miller credited the joint efforts of the ATF NY Syracuse Field Office, New York State Police, Metro Drug Task Force, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office NDNY for their relentless pursuit of justice.
Seth Demiceli now faces a grueling sentence, with potential imprisonment ranging from at least ten years to life, fines up to $10 million, and a supervised release term that could last as long as his lifetime. His sentencing is scheduled for December 17, 2025, before United States District Judge Elizabeth C. Coombe.
The ATF continues its investigation with the support of the New York State Police Community Stabilization Unit and the Metro Jefferson Drug Task Force. Assistant U.S. Attorney Ben Gillis is leading the prosecution in this case against Demiceli.
