TUCSON, Ariz. – Jessica Guillen-Morales, 38, of Sonora, Mexico, was sentenced on August 12 by Senior Judge Raner C. Collins to 37 months in prison for illegal reentry and possession of a firearm.
Guillen-Morales pleaded guilty earlier to the federal charges after police discovered six firearms at her residence during a November 19 search warrant execution. She had been convicted of conspiracy to transport illegal aliens in 2012 and removed from the U.S. on November 1, 2023.
This case is part of the National Public Safety Partnership (PSP), which enhances federal support for local law enforcement through innovative frameworks. PSP has engaged with over 60 sites since its inception in 2014.
The Tucson Police Department and ATF conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Julie A. Sottosanti and Adam Rossi handled the prosecution.
Guillen-Morales’ sentence includes 36 months of supervised release after her prison term. The U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Arizona, continues to fight for public safety through programs like PSP.
