WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA – A court has handed down a severe judgment against Christopher Louis Park, 45, of Wheeling, who was found guilty of illegal possession of a firearm. The sentence for Park, whose past includes a cocaine conviction from 1999, could see him spending up to ten years behind bars and facing a hefty fine of $250,000.
The unlawful act involved a .9mm caliber pistol, which Park admitted he possessed in Wheeling last January. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard, while the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives conducted the investigation.
