Child Porn Ring Exposed in Youngwood
ERIE, Pa. – In a shocking turn of events, 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell Engle of Youngsville, Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty in federal court to violating federal laws related to the sexual exploitation of children.
Engle, who faces a maximum of 10 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, or both, is accused of possessing computer images depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
According to sources close to the investigation, Engle’s actions are a stark reminder of the dangers of child pornography and the importance of continued vigilance in the fight against these heinous crimes.
Engle’s guilty plea comes after a lengthy investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police, who conducted the probe that led to his prosecution.
Assistant United States Attorney Christian A. Trabold will be prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.
Engle is currently free on bond pending his sentencing, set for May 16, 2016, at 10:45 a.m.
