New Orleans, LA – A brazen string of bank robberies in Jefferson Parish and New Orleans came to an end this week as Zachary Verdin, a 29-year-old man from Marrero, Louisiana, was sentenced to 48 months of incarceration for his crimes.
According to court records, on July 19, 2021, Verdin robbed a Capital One Bank in Marrero, Louisiana, making off with approximately $521. Just a week later, on July 26, 2021, he struck again, this time targeting a Chase Bank in New Orleans, where he obtained approximately $1,000. On August 2, 2021, Verdin robbed a Regions Bank in Gretna, Louisiana, netting a staggering $12,540.

Verdin was sentenced to 48 months of incarceration, followed by 3 years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment fee, as to each count. He was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $14,061.
