Matthew Lynn Windom, a 55-year-old Albany, Oregon man, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The sentencing came after a multinational investigation revealed Windom’s involvement in sharing and possessing CSAM on a New Zealand-based platform. Windom, who was already on probation for a 2014 state conviction for child sexual abuse, was found to be in possession of CSAM and was arrested on January 8, 2025.
A search of Windom’s home yielded digital devices, stories about child sex abuse, and a duffel bag with children’s underwear. While no CSAM was found on the seized devices, a subsequent search of one of Windom’s email accounts revealed his possession of CSAM. Windom pleaded guilty on March 10, 2026, and was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison and a life term of supervised release.
