**TWO ILLEGAL ALIENS CAUGHT WITH 100+ POUNDS OF METH, OKLAHOMA, 2024**
A pair of illegal aliens were apprehended and charged with conspiring with a cartel to distribute more than 100 pounds of methamphetamine in the Northern District of Oklahoma, according to a statement issued by the DOJ USAO.
Identified as Jose Alfredo Flores-Garcia, 39, of Mexico, and Ruben Hernandez-Camargo, 30, of Guatemala, the individuals were arrested after a multi-agency investigation uncovered their role in the massive methamphetamine operation.
According to court documents, the suspects allegedly conspired with the Sinaloa cartel to transport and distribute the large quantity of methamphetamine, which has a street value of over $1.5 million.
The arrest was the result of a collaborative effort between the Northern District of Oklahoma’s U.S. Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Border Patrol, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
The suspects are currently being held without bail pending their next court appearance. If convicted, they face up to life in prison and a fine of up to $10 million.
