A deadly deal gone wrong in a St. Louis alleyway led to a 20-year prison sentence for Trevon Carson, 32, of St. Charles.
Carson was the getaway driver for Earl S. Hill, 33, of Maryland Heights, in a 2023 marijuana deal that turned deadly on May 25, 2023, behind the 4800 block of Farlin Avenue.
The victim’s friend stepped out of his car with an AR-style firearm, prompting Carson to get out, fatally shoot the victim, and take the gun.
Prosecutors say Carson never called for help or rendered aid to the dying man, leaving him to bleed out in the alley.
Carson was caught after a court-approved search of his home by the FBI and St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department turned up three loaded handguns and an AR-style firearm on June 13, 2023.
In November, Carson pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute marijuana and discharge of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime resulting in death.
