A new crop of federal prosecutors is descending on St. Louis, Missouri, as the US Attorney’s Office welcomes eight experienced attorneys to its ranks.
The hires include a judge, law clerks, and state prosecutors, all of whom are eager to tackle the city’s most pressing crime issues.
Among the new recruits is Dereck Basinger, a St. Louis University Law School grad who clerked for US District Judge Matthew T. Schelp.
Others include Teresa Bomkamp, a veteran prosecutor with over 20 years of experience, and Thomas Farrell, a retired Navy officer with a law degree from Washington University.
US Attorney Thomas C. Albus is thrilled to have these seasoned pros on board, saying they’ll be a huge asset to the local law enforcement community.
