Anthony Marcos Chadwell Faces Up to 20 Years in Prison

A Billings man has admitted to cocaine trafficking and promoting prostitution in the community, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Anthony Marcos Chadwell, 27, pleaded guilty to a superseding information charging him with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and with use of a facility in interstate commerce in aid of racketeering.

Chadwell’s crimes date back to 2019, when he became involved in a cocaine trafficking conspiracy. He distributed cocaine in Billings and elsewhere, and in early 2019, he was introduced to an individual identified as Jane Doe 11. Chadwell used his cellular phone to set up a commercial sex date for Doe 11 at a Billings motel, where Doe 11 engaged in a sex act in exchange for money.

Chadwell faces a maximum of 20 years in prison, a $1 million fine, and three years of supervised release. He is currently being held in detention.

The case was investigated by the FBI and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Zeno B. Baucus and Bryan T. Dake. U.S. District Judge Susan P. Watters will preside over the sentencing, which is set for December 16.

Chadwell’s crimes have sent shockwaves through the Billings community, and the conviction serves as a reminder of the serious consequences of engaging in illicit activities.
