Antonio Walthour, Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Substances, Florida 2020

Fentanyl Trafficking Ring Brought Down in Florida

An Orlando-based fentanyl trafficking ring has come to an end, thanks to a federal investigation that led to a three-year prison sentence for Antonio Walthour, 28, of Clarksville, Tennessee.

Walthour was sentenced to three years and six months in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, a charge he pleaded guilty to on January 16, 2020.

The investigation began in February 2016 after a fatal drug overdose occurred at the home of Eric and Holly Falkowski, who were running a counterfeit prescription pill operation out of their home in Kissimmee, Florida.

The Falkowskis were using fentanyl to make pills and pressing them to look like legitimate pharmaceutical controlled substances with markings such as “Xanax,” “Lortab,” “Percocet,” or “Watson.”

Walthour agreed to receive these pills and resell them for a profit in the summer of 2015. He received and sold thousands of the pills in Tennessee before being arrested for this activity in August 2015.

In 2017, Eric Falkowski was sentenced to 188 months in prison for his role in the conspiracy, while Holly Falkowski received a 36-month sentence.

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Dana E. Hill.
