A 26-year-old nanny from Beachwood, Ohio, has been found guilty of sexually abusing two toddlers in her care. Molly Elisabeth Duncan pleaded guilty to multiple counts of child sex crimes, including distributing explicit images of the minors.
Duncan worked as a nanny in Northeast Ohio from November 2023 to July 2024, during which she abused two victims under the age of two in Portage and Geauga counties. She recorded the abuse on her cellphone and distributed the files through a popular social media platform.
Investigators found a cache of child pornography on Duncan’s devices, including files of each victim. She faces up to 30 years in prison for each of the two child exploitation counts and 20 years for the distribution and possession charges.
Duncan is set to be sentenced on July 22, and a federal judge will determine her sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other factors.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sex exploitation and abuse.
