Four more border bandits are facing up to 20 years in federal prison for trying to sneak back into the United States after being previously deported. Fernando Flores-Bautista, Carlos Guadalupe Aquino-Pacheco, Dionicio Rodriguez-Hernandez, and Francisco Javier Velasquez-Vela are among the 484 people charged with immigration-related crimes in the Southern District of Texas between April 17-23.
Authorities say Flores-Bautista, a Mexican national, was found near Roma despite being removed from the country just three weeks prior for a conviction of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Aquino-Pacheco, also a Mexican national, was stopped by police near McAllen after allegedly making threats against a federal officer. He’s got a prior conviction for interference with commerce by threats or violence and was previously removed on October 4, 2023.
The four face up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted. Meanwhile, eight MS-13 members have been sentenced to 35-50 years in prison for their roles in a racketeering conspiracy involving witness tampering and multiple murders.
