Dustin Roy Rockmen, Child Sex Abuse, New Mexico 2024

Two brothers have been handed down severe sentences for their despicable acts of child exploitation. Dustin Roy Rockmen, 33, from Navajo, New Mexico, and Kenzie Roy Rockmen, 26, of Hunters Point, Arizona, both enrolled members of the Navajo Nation, were sentenced to 204 months and 135 months in prison respectively, with no chance for parole in the federal system.

According to court documents, the brothers used electronic communications to coerce a minor into engaging in sexual acts between 2019 and 2022. Dustin and Kenzie both pleaded guilty to one count of coercion and enticement of a minor. Upon their release from prison, they will be subject to a mandatory 10 years of supervised release and must register as sex offenders.

The sentence was announced by Acting U.S. Attorney Ryan Ellison and Acting Special Agent in Charge Philip Russell of the FBI’s Albuquerque Field Office. The investigation into this case was led by the Gallup Resident Agency of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, with assistance from the Navajo Police Department and Navajo Department of Criminal Investigations.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Robert James Booth II and Mark A. Probasco are prosecuting this case as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. This initiative coordinates federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute those who exploit children through the Internet and identify and rescue victims.
