A ruthless meth kingpin has been brought to justice in Burlington, Iowa. Jason Lee Ringold, 47, sold over 600 grams of meth in the Burlington area between April and June 2024, flaunting a gun and threatening customers.
Ringold’s reign of terror was short-lived, as federal authorities launched an investigation into his methamphetamine conspiracy. The Burlington Police Department worked closely with federal agencies to gather evidence and build a case against the notorious dealer.
A familiar face in the federal system, Ringold was previously convicted in 1999 for a drug conspiracy involving the manufacture of methamphetamine. He’ll now serve 25+ years behind bars, followed by a decade of supervised release.
The harsh sentence is a testament to the determination of law enforcement to combat the scourge of methamphetamine in the community.
