Casey Stevens Rosen, Synthetic Drug Conspiracy, North Dakota 2014

Fargo, North Dakota – In a shocking turn of events, Casey Stevens Rosen, 24, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for his role in a massive synthetic drug conspiracy.

On April 14, 2014, Rosen appeared before U.S. District Judge Ralph R. Erickson, who handed down the harsh sentence. Rosen was convicted of conspiracy to possess and distribute analogues resulting in serious bodily injury or death.

The investigation, code-named ‘Operation Stolen Youth,’ revealed that Rosen was involved in the distribution of illicit psychedelic hallucinogens through an online business called Motion Resources. The company imported these substances from several countries and sold them throughout the United States, with a significant portion being distributed in the Grand Forks, North Dakota area.

As part of his sentence, Rosen was ordered to pay a forfeiture of $100,000, as well as a $100 special assessment to the Crime Victims Fund. He will also serve five years of supervised release following his prison term.

The case was investigated by a joint task force consisting of Homeland Security Investigations, Drug Enforcement Administration, Food and Drug Administration, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigations, and the Grand Forks Police Department.
