FARGO, ND – In a desperate bid to combat the growing opiate crisis, the community will gather at Fargo South High School on Wednesday, September 7th, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, for the Arms Wide Open community forum. United States attorney Christopher C. Myers invites all to attend this vital discussion, the third in a series of community forums addressing the opiate/heroin crisis in the FM Region.
The keynote speaker for the evening will be Chuck Rosenberg, Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Agency, a man who has dedicated his career to fighting the war on drugs. Joining Rosenberg will be a distinguished panel of speakers, including Drew Wrigley, Lieutenant Governor of North Dakota, and Birch Burdick, Cass County State’s Attorney, as well as representatives from local colleges and school districts.
The Arms Wide Open community forum promises to be a powerful and thought-provoking event, providing a platform for community members to come together and discuss the opiate crisis. Resource booths will be available for attendees to visit following the forum, providing valuable information and support for those affected by addiction.
The opiate crisis has left a trail of devastation in its wake, with countless lives lost to overdose and countless more families torn apart by addiction. It is time for the community to come together and take action.
